(Carroll, Iowa) – The Cookies BBQ Crew continued to do more good on the road this summer with their popular Rib Wagon in tow. Organizers held their annual May fundraising event at the New Hope Bargain Shoppe in Carroll this spring, and were able to follow that with another fundraising effort last month when RAGBRAI, Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, rolled through town. On July 24, Rib Wagon staffers alongside New Hope volunteers served BBQ ribs, pulled pork, pork loin, pork sundaes and more to riders that visited the overnight town on the second day of the route.

With proceeds raised, Cookies Food Products was recently able to present New Hope with a $10,000 donation towards enriching the quality of life of their residents. “We are so pleased we can continue to contribute to New Hope and support their mission to bring comfort and purpose to the lives of individuals with disabilities,” said Speed Herrig, President of Cookies Food Products.  “Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts this summer and helped us make this donation possible.”
