Sweet Hickory Takes Home Second Place Honors at NBBQA National Conference
(NAPERVILLE, Ill.) – The National Barbecue Association (NBBQA) recently announced that Cookies Sweet Hickory Bar “B” “Q” sauce was among the top winners in this year’s Awards of Excellence competition, earning second place in the “Tomato Mild” category. The award was announced at the organization’s annual conference held March 9-12 in Jacksonville, Fla.
The annual competition recognizes the very best barbecue products in a number of industry categories and the winners were selected from over 400 total submissions. Sweet Hickory earned its top tier recognition in the most competitive category at the conference, going up against 56 total “Tomato Mild” sauce entries.
Cookies Food Products also received top ten accolades in three other categories. Cookies Sweet ‘N’ Spicy Bar “B” “Q” sauce earned 7th place in the “Tomato Spicy” division, Cookies Tangy Mustard Bar “B” “Q” sauce finished 8th in the “Mustard Mild” group and Cookies Wings-N-Things Hot Sauce took home place 7th place honors in the “Hot Sauce” category. In 2015, Cookies Wings-N-Things was recognized as best in class, earning first place in the “Hot Sauce” field.
