One chicken (whole, 3-4 lb. chicken)
12 oz. beer (we use a light or Pilsner)
Cookies Flavor Enhancer & All-Purpose Seasoning
Preheat a grill or smoker to 325 degrees F.
Remove neck and giblets from chicken and discard. Rinse chicken under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Season the chicken generously with Cookies Flavor Enhancer.
Open a can of beer and discard (or drink) 1/4 of the can. Place beer can on a solid surface and grabbing a chicken leg in each hand, place the chicken over the can so the opened end of the beer can is in the middle of the bird’s cavity. Place chicken, standing up, directly on grill grate with the beer can supporting it.
Cook the chicken for 65-75 minutes or until the internal temp registers 165 degrees F in the thickest part of the breast. Remove from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Note: Try using root beer or Dr. Pepper for a “pop can chicken” varation.
